Do you damage locks?
We aim for non-destructive entry first and succeed in 90% of cases. We'll always advise you before any replacement and explain all options. If damage is unavoidable, we explain why and provide options.
What ID do your locksmiths carry?
All our locksmiths carry photo ID, company identification, and can provide proof of insurance. They drive branded or identifiable vehicles and will show ID when they arrive.
What if I'm locked out and have no ID?
We understand this happens. Our locksmiths are trained to verify occupancy through other means - neighbors, mail with your name, key knowledge, or other reasonable proof you live there.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, all parts and labor come with a 12-month guarantee. If anything goes wrong with our work, we'll return to fix it free of charge.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, all major credit and debit cards, bank transfer, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal for advance bookings. Payment is due on completion - no advance payment required.
Do you charge VAT?
No VAT on domestic (residential) work. Commercial properties are subject to VAT at 20%, clearly stated when booking.
Can you cut keys while I wait?
Yes, our locksmiths carry key cutting equipment and can cut most standard keys on-site. Additional keys are £15 each.
What if you can't help?
If we attend but cannot resolve your issue due to exceptional circumstances (e.g., specialist lock, structural damage), you only pay a reduced callout charge of £45.
Do you work on all types of locks?
We handle most residential and commercial locks: Euro cylinders, mortice locks, uPVC mechanisms, multipoint locks, safes, and digital locks. We'll advise on the phone if your lock type is suitable.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, you can cancel anytime before the locksmith arrives with no charge. If cancelled after dispatch but before arrival, there may be a small travel charge.
